The FBI confirmed today that they are investigating former Baptist pastor, Jack Schaap for allegations that he transported a minor over state lines for immoral purposes. It is not known whether Jack Schaap was in custody by the authorities at this time.
“There is an allegation we’re trying to prove or disprove that the pastor crossed state lines and engaged in an improper sexual relationship with an underage female,” said Robert Ramsey, spokesman for the FBI’s office in Merrillville, Ind.
Schaap was fired from his job as pastor of the first Baptist Church of Hammond Indiana on Tuesday, July 31. The firing came after it was revealed he had an immoral relationship with a 16-year-old girl who was associated with Hyles-Anderson College.
