Under a new law passed last Tuesday, protestors would have to remain 300 feet from military funerals. The law entitled “Honoring America’s Veterans and Caring for Camp Lejeune Families Act of 2012” is expected to be signed by President Obama. This restriction would be in place starting two hours before a funeral until 2 hours after. This law would imposed unspecified fines and up to two years in prison for any violations.
The infamous Westboro “Baptist Church” has been instrumental in seeing this law passed through their unscriptural protests of military funerals.
